MAIL NOTICES.

At the Chief Post Office, Timaru, subject to any necessary alterations, mails will close as under:— Monday, June 2nd. For Australian States, India, China, Japan, Ceylon. Straits Settlements, Egypt and South Africa per Roggeveen from Auckland. Money orders and registered letters 11.45 a.m., books, packets, and newspapers 12.15 p.m., and ordinary letters at 12.45 p.m.

For Cook Islands, Tahiti, Samoa, Honolulu, Penrliyn Island, United States of America, Canada, Central America, United Kingdom, Continent of Europe, via San Francisco, per (Moana) from Wellington. Money orders and registered letters 11.45 a.m. Books, packets, and newspapers 12 15 p.m., and ordinary letters at 12.45 p.m

For United Kingdom.' Continent' of .Europe, also North and South America, per Middleliam. Parcel mails 11.45 a.m., letters (specially addressed only).

HOLIDAY ARRANGEMENTS.

Post Office—A close holiday. Mails usually despatched will close at S p.m. on Monday. 2nd June, hut supplementary mails will he made up at 8 a.m on Tuesdav, 3rd June.

Postmen's Deliveries.—There wfil be 110 delivery by postmea, but correspondence may be obtained nt the Parcel's Branch counter on Monday, 2nd .Time between 7 and 8 p m. Telegraph Office.—Open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and 7 p.m. to midnight. Telephone Exchange.— Open ns usual.
