TiMAEU CLVB. The Timaru Miniature Rifle. Club has acquired new premises for their snooting range for "this season —the old furniture factory of the late firm of Beckinghairi and Co., off Sophia Street. A working bee of Club members has been busy during the week in renovating and preparing the room, and. tlioy have made it.an excellent range. The members liopo to see good use made of it this winter, and to soo many young men joining. The Club open the season next. Monday evening, and members of other clubs and other interested in miniature rifle shooting will be cordially welcomed. The value of practice with the miniature rifle was dwelt upon at the meeting' of the Timaru Defence Rifle Club on Wednesday night,' especially by a returned soldier, who described the manner in which the miniature rifle was used in training soldiers at Home in preparation for war service.
