MEETING CF ASSOCIATION.

The South Canterbury Hockey Association held their annual meeting last evening, Mr L. Davies presiding over a fair attendance. The balance sheet showed a credit balance of £l4 4s 2d, and there were many outstanding subscriptions. The report said that the clubs which took part last year were to be congratulated on the way they carried on. After a good contest Timaru had proved the winners in the competition. In , the ladies' games Minerva and Oxford had tied with 14 points each. The Association had sustained a heavy loss m the departure of Mr E. Penrose from Timaru, as this gentleman had done much in the interests of hockey. Mr G. P. Wood was deserving of thanks for the use of his office for meetings during the seaon. Tlie- report and balance sheet were adopted. The election of officers resulted as follows: —President, Mr G. P. Wood; vice-presidents, Messrs J. Feely, J. McConacliie nnd F. Smith; lion, secretory. Mr E. Rawstorn; lion, treasurer,! Mr A. L. Hudson; lion, auditor, Mr 18. Johnston; management committee, Messrs L. Davies, W. Gow, D. Oram, J. "R. Anderson and P. Clark. Messrs H. Hatch and W. C. Bishop were appointed delegates to the New Znalnnd Hockey Association, and Miss Aria, Fulton rlelp>!r,n,te to the New Zeannd I/idies Hor-kcy Association. It was decided that the management committee should meet on Monday.. June 2nd.
