Even at the prices now quoted for oats at country stations it 5s doubtful if any quantity could' bo obtained if wanted immediately. Growers are. holding firmly, and the weather makes tlhem naioro reluctant to sell. Already it is reported that oats atro being fed to sheep, so short had available feed become. A grade Cartons arc now quoted at 4s Id to 4s 2d : B grade 3s lOd to 4s; Algerians 3s lOd to 4s; Danish- 3s 6d' to. 3s 9d; a.nd good heavy dark Duns 4s to> 4s 2d, at. country stat i-CXDB.

Oatsheaf chaff has firmed in sympathy with oats. The demand now being greater aince the break in the, weather, it is now quoted at £6 Gs to £6 10s at country ikatdoffls, for good bright quality.

,There is now mon« movement in grass and clov-er seeds. Perennial ryegrass is scarce, mono offering, and is worth 4s 6H to 4s 9d at country stations; a.nd Italian is realising 4s to 4s 3d. Cowgrass is firmer and is quoted at Is to Is 3d!, while w'hiitoe clover is now saleable at 104' 1o Is.

Thete is a) good demand for mangefe. They are selling at £2 Cs per ton aft country stations, and somei of tlio large growers aife holding for £2 10s.

L'msecd is_firmer, and is now quoted fit £lB 5s to' £lB 10s pel* ton at country stations. The potato mai*keli> is somewhat unsettled through prospective ljusiness with Sj'dney having fallen through. Itf is also reported --thafc northern, merchants have hren trying to resell their .speculative, purchases. The looal price ft ill keeps fairly steady, £6 5s to £6 10s at country stations, being the quotation.
