OPPOSITION ,-GOVERNMENT,
TO RESTORE LAW AND ORDER. Australian and N Z. Cable Amn, Received S p.m., May 28th VIENNA. May 15. A counter-Government has been formed at Arad, in Hungary. The Premier is Julius Karolyi, a, cousin, of Count Karolyi. The Government in a manifesto declares that it is transitional. Its task will bo to repair Bolshevik ravages' and restore law and order. FIGHTING IN THE PROVINCES. MASSACRES OF PEASANTS. A Vienna message shows that Hungarian anarchy is increasing. There is considerable fighting in the provinces and massacres of peasants are reported because they refused to sell food to the Bolshevised towns. —i BOLSHEVIK MADNESS.--' A party of Red Guards raided a village. The peasants took refuge ins a local castle. The Bolsheviks brought up artillery, Tipcm which the besieged surrendered, and their leaders. -.were murdered and crucified on the church doors.
A queue of women in Buda Pest 5 - after vainly waiting at. a butcher's shon tore three Red Guards to pieces. Murdered hostages include thixie exMinisters and two ex-State Secretaries.
