For Cook Islands, Tahiti, Penrhyn Island, United States of America, Canada, Central and South America, United Ivmgdom and Continent of Europe, via San Francisco, per Moana, from "VTellington. Froni tlie 20th January the followins hours will be observed, aand mails jvill be closed at the houi's named:— Post Office. Open from 9 a.m. to o p.m. Mails aor North, South. Fairlie and Salisbury Sine at present closing at 8 p.m. on the previous night will close at 6 a.m. For giorth-bound express mails close at *-•45 p.m. For south-bound express au § p.m. For Fairlie lino at 3.15 p.m. For Christchurch and intermediate offices mails close at 3.30 p.m. as usual. Postmen's Deliveries. Owing to the shortage of staff in the postmen's branch, it is not yet practicable to resume two deliveries but it is hoperl to give full services as soon as sufficient postmen resume duty. Money Order and Sayings Bank Branch. Open daily from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and on Saturdays from 9 a.m.- to noon, and for receipt of deposits onlv from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. *' Telegraph Branch. , . Open daily from 8 a.m. to midnight. Telephone Exchange. Open as usual. Street Posting Boxes.
