.MEETING OF BOTH SECTIONS. A combined mooting; of ilie Tim;\ru lied Cross Society was held in the Ambulance Hall yesterday. Present — ill* F. A. Raymond (in I In-, chair), Mesdames F. A. Raymond. Giles, Thomas. Shallcrass, Ford, Ji. Tripp, Hughson, F. G. Kerr, Goldie, MoLeod, Cox Hay, W. J). Revoll, Priest, G. Robinson, .liinu'snn, Bowe, Misses McLean, Kmibley, Kelland and Wilson; Messrs Maitland, Innes-Jones, W. D. R.eveil, Cray, Jameson, Hindmavsli, Priest. Serge-ant and Price. Apologies wcr'j received from Mesdames Burns, Pratt, Lloyd-Jones, Stinwiu and Cray, Messrs Cox, B. Tripp, and Haling. A resolution of .sympathy to Mr and Mrs Cray and ill's Lloyd-Jones was passed in silence, all standing. -Mrs Cray reported that tho hospital was visited regularly by tho Committeo until tile recent epidemic. Thanks were due to Sirs Newman for lish, Mrs George Freeman for books and papers, Miss Kelland for eggs, and tho following for seats: —Girj Peace Scout's concert, Percy L. Davics and the Scarlet Troubadours.
A letter was read from Mr TTughson ; District Superintendent of St. John Ambulance, recommending that a thanksgiving service bo held by the St. John Ambulance Brigade and all V.A.D. workers. After discussion it was unanimously decided to refer the matter back to Mr Hngbsoii and Mr Smith subject to their approval, to make tho necessary 'arrangements and call all workers together.
Correspondence) was read and discussed :
From Miss Webster concerning cano for soldiers' basket work. From the President of the Red Cross Society Christehurvh, on badges for Red Cross workers. An application form will be sent to the head of each ■guild to till in and forward to this subcentre.
The question was raised of tho advisability of continuing the. Red Cross shop each month. After some discussion it was unanimously decided to hold the postponed South End shop on the first Saturday in March, no shop to be held in January or Felirnarv.
A meeting of (heads of shop groups will bo held some time in February, when it is hoped that official instructions from headquarters as to requirements and quotas in tho future will bo to hand.
The Red Cross Depot wiTl lie 010-e,;l from Friday, 2Ct.li December, till Monday. February 3rd. After that date business will be carried on as usual till further notice.
As « result of Mrs Rowe's effort with the salo of badges and flags on tlio two Peace days, the sum of £l2O has been lianded to tlio ltod Gross Society.
Accounts were, passed for payment amounting to £272 os 4d.
