ILLEGAL DEALING. George. He vie, charged with dealing in war material without a permit, was sentenced to four months imprisonment in the second division. The National Party organised a demonstration in Hyde Park ou Saturday to demand the internmeut of all aliens oi enemy blood. Subsequently a petition with a million .signatures was presented to the Prime Minister. Several thousands attended the Tiyde Park demonstration for the internment of all enemy aliens. Speeches were delivered from iivc platforms. * The demonstrators proceeded in procession to No. 10 Downing Street. On a lorry was a petition two or three miles long, containing 1,250.000 signatures, it headed the procession, and four men carried the petition .into the Prime Minister's residence. His secretary received it owing to Mr Lloyd George's absence for the week-end in the countrv. The principal speakers at the Hyde Park demonstration were Mr Page Croft. M.P., Mr Leo Maxse and Mr G. J. Jenkins.
The demonstration passed a resolution expressing dismay that Mr Lloyd George was unable to receive the deputation and petition. RETURNED PRISONERS. * ROTTERDAM. August 21. Two. hundred' and fourteen wounded British from Germany have departed for England.
