Kaiapol the little Canterbury town, snip, might nerer have been hoard of outside Now Zealand, had it not been for tlio woollen goods which bear its name, and hare done so much to advertise it everywhere. Juist in the. very same way "Gold Pouch"' tobacco <br the pipe and 'Three Diamonds" or Med Shag"" for cigarettes, are making Hawkc's Bay famous. What makes N.Z. grown tobacco superior to the foreign article is its small percentage of nicotine and its unequalled combustibility, leaving atone its unique flavour nnd aroma. It lias been* found that seme of the. imported brands of tobacco are most injurious to health, offering tlje nerves and often the heart in a serious way. The N.Z. product has no such deleterious properties, even when snicked continuously, on the cors••outrary it has rnthi-i* n scolhinir (-T----iwt ami donors have recommended U when the use of foreign tobacco would have, been of grave consequence in the system of the patient. Xo doubt for all these reasons X.Z. tobacco has become immensely papular so much so that the demand now far eceeds the capacity of iho manufacturers.
