The motors aro too heavy and powerful for light figjhting planes, and imperfect in somo degree still. There is not a single American battle plane yet on the American front. TJp to August 6th only Dehivillands, num. Bering 600, had been sent to France. The expenditure of millions of dollars has been rosultless. It i 4 recorded that unfair preference was given to certain manufacturers.
GERMANS ADMIT DAMAGE. COPENHAGEN, Aug. 24. Berlin reports that no one was killed in tlie Frankfort air raid, but the material damage is heavy. Five were killed at Cologne, and a number of privato buildings destroyed. t
