THE MURMAN COAST. RED GUARDS TO HELP ENGLAND (Australian and N.Z Cable Assn.) Received 5.25 p.m., Aug. 25th. STOCKHOLM, Aug. 23. It is reported from Hclsingfors that ten thousand Red Guards, under Com. mander Ralija, have been enrolled for servico with the English on the Murman coast. ENEMY PUSHING NORTHWARD. The *"Pall Mall Gazette" says that the Germans are rapidly pushing the railway from north Finland to Pctcheuga, on the Arctic coast, with the object, inter alia, of establishing a submarine base there in order to escape to tho Atlantic and thus be freed from tho dangers of tho North Sea, and -also to cut the Entente communications with Russia from Western Europe. RUiSSKY TURNED UP. BERNE, Aug. 23. The "Vossieho Zcitung" states that General Russky, whoso whereabouts has been a mystery for a year, lias arrived at Vladivostok and has offered his sen-ices to General Horvatn. ATHENS, Aug. 23. It is reported that General Everts accompanied Russky to Vladivostok. BOLSHEVIKS OVERAWED AT MOSCOW. AMSTERDAM, Aug. 21. Tho "Telegraaf" quotes a Kioff mossago stating that the Bolsheviks havo released 23,000 ex-officers at Moscow, in consequence of tho population threatening to blow up the Kremlin unless the prisoners were released. FIGHTING IN SIBERIA. MORE ALLIED TROOPS NEEDED. (United Service.) LONDON, Aug. 23. Mr Falk, cabling from Harbin, states that there is heavy fighting as Ussuri. Tho Anglo-French troops engaged suffered slight casualties. Cossacks and Czechs bore the brunt or the fighting. The Allies are withdrawing, being outnumbered, but Japaneso reinforcements are stemming the onset of.tho Bolsheviks. Monitors on Lake Hanka are worrying the Allies' left flank.
