Per Press Association; DUNEDIN, July 17; At the Police uo-day ihoinas Padraic Cuminins and *, Albert James O'Ryan were jointly charged that they caused to be published ui a newspaper called the "Green Ray" a seditious utterance, which was seditious in -that it was caused to be published by defendants with the intention to excite' disaffection against the Government of the United Kingdom and to encourage the commission in .the Omted 'Kingdom of an offence prejudicial to the public safety in respect of the present war, to wit the crime of treason by levying war against his Majesty. Cummins admitted writing the article, but pleaded not guilty to sedition. O'Ryan pleaded guilty to publishing, but not to sedition.
