WAR CABINET MEETS. nM Tf 7, Cnhlfl A««rt. Received 5.5 p.m., Juno 14th. LONDON, June "13. The delegates participated in a meeting of .the War Cabinet to-day. The Cabinet meets again to-morrow-NEW ZEALAND SHIPPING. Mr Massey had a long interview with tho Controller of Shipping cn matters in connexion with New Zealand trade. AN OVERSEAS DINNER. Sir George Perley, Canadian military representative entertained the delegates at dinner in tie Marlborough Club. The guests included the Duke of Connought, Mr Lloyd George, and other members of tho Cabinet, members of the General Staff, Mr Fisher, and Sir Thomas Mackenzie. CHANNEL TUNNEL. At the Royal Society, Mr Arthur Fell, M.P., read a paper advocating a Channel tunnel. Sir Joseph Ward supported the scheme. He said ho had never dou'bted that engineers wero able to provide a means to prevent the Channel being used to invade Brrtain. Had it been constructed before, it would havo been invaluable during tlio present war. He believed that if a tunnel between Ireland and England were constructed it> would contribute greatly to prevent; tho misunderstandings at present existing between the two peoples. FRENCH APPROVE OF DOMNIONS' CLAIM. Received 7.55 p.m., June 14th. PARIS, June 13. The newspaper "Eclair," commenting on the Imperial War Cabinet meetnig, says Everyone in France appreciates the heroism and devoted ass'stanca which the British colonies have given in tho war. Tlio French people accordingly unanimously approve of such new measures as may be adopted with a view to giving further force and importance to this assistance.
