Councillor Gunnioh sent an apology. The Mayor made a. few remarks on the nuances, saying that the position was satisfactory. He'had received an invitation to meet with other delegates -at Wellington to interview Ministers regarding hydro-electricitv for South Canterbury. Ho considered that every .support should be given to the scheme, and he would be glad to hear any suggestions from Councillors.
Councillor Hancox hoped the Mavor would do his best to induce the Government to give Lake Coleridge oover to South Canterbury. Tlie Council sat as the Domain Board and passed accounts. .Councillor Hancox asked that 'lie track parallel to Higli Street be improved, t and this was agreed to. Hancox said that all round the oval the Park was wiring well, but the barb wire on the main track through the Park had not been removed as ordered.
