THE GRAND. A man-hunt by dogs is perhaps the most startling feature of tlie latest instalment of "The Black' Box" now showing at the Grand. And a great hunt it is, especially as the man, through a clever ruse learned in South Africa, evades the sleuth hounds. The picture lias many other points of interest, and with each new instalment it is growing in interest. The Gaum out Graphic is well worth seeing if only for the views of American troops which it contains. . "The Moral Fabric" is tho big picture, and it unfolds a lesson not often taiught, a woman learning to her everlasting sorrow that she. has made a huge blunder in leaving her husband for an°™f man because of a silly notion that she must join on© whom it pleases her at the timo to call her affinity. THE GRAND, MONDAY NIGHT. At the cfrand om Monday there wul be shown, in addition to a great Ethel Barrymore picture, the Cowboy event of the year, "Pendleton's Roundv- ]916-" This is an annual event in winch hundreds of American cowboys and cowgirls take part in contests "of buckiump riding, lasso throwing, bulldogging wild cattle, and stage conch racing, which form the everyday work of the American eowpuncher. The display of horsemanship on the part of the cowboys and cowgirls is said to be t:uly remarkable, and none should miss seeing .(this great test of skill. Everyone will remember the success of the great round-up picture shown in Timaru last year. FULLERS' PICTURES. A picture of rare parts is that which, now holds pride of piace at the Theatre Royal—"Tnen I'll Come Back to You." The acting is clever and most •effective, and the rugged mountain suenery can best be described) as grand. Alice'Brady is feutured in the story, and this should be sufficient to indicate its quality. It was followed again last night with intense interest. Set in the lumber lands of America the love romance which runs through it is worked out with some startling and incidentally a most exciting fight botwecn two men is seen. The conclusion, however, is quite a happy one. "The Secret Kingdom" serial is also of more than ordinary interest in this instalment, and there was a big collective sigh when the screen announced, last night: "To bo continued in our next." To complete the trio on the programme a Pathe Gazette was well placed. A special film adapted from tho beautiful poem "Robm.Gra?" will be screened; for the benefit of tho children at the maitinee this afternoon.
