PLUNKET SOCIETY.

MONTHLY MEETING. A meeting of the riunket Society was held on Tuesday. Present —Metdames J. P. Newman (in the chair), |G. a. Cray, G. R. M. Jones, T. Thornssou, J. C. Oddie, H. Efworthy, F. J. Rolleston, T. A. Joughin, and Irvine. (Apologies far absence were received from Mesdamcs L. tf. Taibot, J. Maling, T. Stiiison, and F. A. Raymond. After some discussion it was decided to ask permission to hold a "Rose Day" on the last Saturday in November, and failing this, on tho previous Satur- ; day. | Correspondence with tho president .of the Cliristchureh Plunkefc fc'ociety was read and approved. I A report of the fifth annual conference, held in Wellington, was received. j The Plunket Nurse reported that (during tho month 30 new cases had been added to tho list, and eiglit of these belonged to out-stations.. A : total of 490 visits had been paid in tho ' month. Thanks were due to Messrs ißrchaut "Rros. for repairs to bicycle, 'and to the following for gifts of clothing:—Mosdames Newman, Stinson. and McKay, Girls' High School Hiehfiold Guild, and Trinity Girls' Bible Class. A forequa.rter of lamb had been given by Mrs Hamilton, and ! had been distributed. I General accounts amounting to CIS 0s 3d. and £3OO for the Nurse's motor j ca>-. were passed frp- naymenf.
