MAIL NOTICES.

At the Chief Post Office, Timaru, subject to any necessary alterations, mails wi'l closo as under:— For offices in North Island daily, 1 p.m. For'Tom'.ika, Geraldine, 'Ashfaurton snd Christchurch daily at 6 a.m., ana 1 p.ra. and 3.30 p.m. For Waimate and Oamaru and intermediate offic6S 6 a.m. •< nd 3p ra For Duaedin and lnvereargill at 3 p.m. For FairHe, Pleasant Point, Cave, and Albury on Tuesday, Thursday a nd Saturday at 6 a.m., and 3.15 p.m. daily. Registered letter mails close one Eiour, and newspapers and parcel mails close 45 minutes earlier than ordinary letter mails. Mails for United Kingdom and Continent, of_ Europe, South Africa, Ceylon, India, China, Japan, Straits Settlements and Egypt, also parcel and letters for Expeditionary Forces will be despatched from time to time by best route, without special' notification.
