At City Tattersalls Club's postponed meeting, the following was the result of the CITY TATTERSALL'S CUP; 11 furlongs.—Karanaud King 1, Rushford sr, Eastoourt 3. Won by three lengths. Time, 2mm 22Jsec. During the running of tlie Hurdle Race, the New Zealand jumper Rongopai fell and broke his neck, death being instantaneous. His rider, Clifton, was injured. It is reported that Cetigne has been sold for 1500 guineas.

The concluding day of the Greymouth Jockey Club's meeting -was held in fine weuther. The attendance was not very large, there being no train service. The going was very heavy. The totalisator investments were £4731 10s.

A Sydney cable message states that Carlita has finished racing and goes to the stud. She has won £IB,OOO m stakes.
A Sydney cable message states that the New Zealand-bred maro Carlita (Charlemagne ll.—Couronne) has retired from racing. Carlita was bred at Elderslie, and was purchased cheaply by two French residents of Sydney, for whom she won £IB.OOO in stakes, and ranks as one of the best stavevs of the Australian turf. One of her owners has been at the front since the beginning of the war.
