LONDON, April 25. The Admiralty reports that the arrivals for the week numbered 2585, and tho sailings 2621. Forty (fourteen!') vessels over 1600 tons and fifteen under 1600 were sunk, and 27 were unsuccessfully attacked. Nine fishing vessels were also sunk. , AMERICAN ARMED MERCHANTMAN. SINKS a" SUBMARINE. NEW YORK, April 25. Advices from London state that the captain of the armed American steamer Mongolia says that on April 18th he fired at a submarine which was preparing to attack the Mongolia at a range of one thousand yards. The periscope was hit and the submarine undoubtedly was sunk.
