The Otaki wiia hit by twenty-five shells. B6th Vessels caught alight. The Moewe developed » troublesome leak, and the fire- was so serious that most of the crew ■ wei'o burned, an under-officer and six men succumbing to their injuries. Many of the Otaki's men were badly wounded before they discontinued .the fight.
