Many neutrals were captured on armed British ships. The Moewe on March 10th met the armed British ship Otaki, outside Capetown. A violent battle took place, and sevov. men on the Moewe were killed. The Otaki was sunk. The Moewe was hit seven times. A fire broke out on the Moewe, and raged/for three days. The Otaki's captain, mate, engineer, and one or two sailors were killed. The Moewe's hold was full of prisoners, i who numbered six hiindred.
