SUFFICIENT? MEN' FOll TWELVE DRAFTS. , A return prepared by the Government- Statistician, after the fifth, ballot shows that there were still 55,419 men left in the First Division. At th© conclusion of the preceding ballot the total was 59.952, so that the" total First Division men disposed of during the four weeks was 4533. At tlio present rato pf recruiting it should not be necessary to call on the Second Division by ballot- until November or December nexs at the earliest, as at this rate df exhaustion there are still sufficient men in the First Division for* twelve drafts.
