DOMINIONS' OPPORTUNITY. AFTER THE WAR. (Australian and N.Z. Cab'-e Assn.) LONDON, Sept. 27. Sir Thomas Mackenzie, in a speech at t-ho Sailors and Firemen's Union dinner, said that after the war the changed conditions, particularly the increased cost of living in England,
would afford an opportunity to the Dominions possessing raw materials and food supplies to develop manufactures and hold their own against any competition.
KITCHENER SCHOLARSHIP;
A SUITABLE MEMORIAL. Tlio Council of the Kitchener Fund has decided to establish a commercial scholarship to enable Britons who have served in ;the Forces or the eons of dead or disabled soldiers who fought in the war to travel and study in Allied countries. The valuo of the scholarships is to bo £l5O a yoar. This will be supplementary to the fund proposed ,for the relief of disabled men.
