A GERMAN REPORT. - (Australian and N.Z ; . Cable Assn.) LONDON, Sept. 27. A.German communique states:—The Russians failed on the Ludowa sector. We made good progress at Hermannstacli., / -' ___ - AIR RAIDS ON BUCHAREST. BUCHAREST,..Sept. 27. ' A communique sa.vs:—There is 'fierce fighting in the .Tin Valley, in Transylvania, where the Roumanians' advanced. The enemy thrice attacked in masses in tho Dobrudja, but was repulsed. A squadron of aeroplanes bombed Bucharest on Monday afternoon. Their bombs struck the hospital and orphanage, killing sixty and -wounding many, mostly women and children. A zoppelin bombed Bucharest on Monday night, killing five children. 1 (Tho Jiu river rises near the Vulcan Pass, and flows, south to the Danube.)
