It is believed that Marshal von Hindenburg has collected thirty divisions from tho French, Russians, and Italian fronts, and added fourteen Bulgarian and sevon Turkish divisions, hoping to crush Roumania. Tho success of tho scliemo depends on the offensives on tho Somme, in Gtilicia, and on tho Isonzo coming to a, speedy standstill. INVADERS FALL BACK. SILISTRIA ABANDONED. (United Service.)/ - BUCHAREST, Sept. 23. Official.—Tho Germans, Bulgarians, and Turks : occupied a fortified line, abandoning Silistria (on .the Danube); The Russians arc bombarding Varna. ENEMY RETREAT. CEASES IN DOBRUDJA. (Router's Telegrams.) Communique. There have been minor engagements in Transylvania. The enemy in the Dobrudja has ceased Lis retreat and has fortified himself.
