ANOTHER ZEPPELIN RAID.
ONE AIRSHIP BROUGHT DOWN. RUMOUR SAYS TWO. (Australian and N;Z. Cable Assn.) Received 11 p.m., Sept. 24th. LONDON, Sept. 24. Official;—A number of airships on Saturday night dropped bombs on various places on the cast and south-east of England. One was brought down in flames in southern Essex. An unconfirmed report states that another fell on tho Essex coast. Official.—Airships attacked Lincolnshire, the eastern.counties, and the outskirts of London at midnight. They were beaten off by the anti-aircraft defences. • , , . Reports. of casualties and damage have not yet been received.
