LONDON, Juno 2. Official.—G on oral Smuts reports: Our column operating on Pangana River on May 23 arrived in front of the enemy position at Mickacheni. The enemy was astride the railway. After a reconnaissance on A Lay 29 we assaulted and carried the principal trenches, which tlio enemy insufficiently held. Tho enemy during the night retired to Nykomali, leaving a train and blowing up the Okawaziz bridge. Our column continued tho advance and reached Dinko Station.
