FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE is urgently required, indeed the need for voluntary effort is greater than ever, and the Society appeals to tlio public of South Canterbury for generous iinancial support. THE OBJECTS OF THE SOCIETY ARE:— To make proper provision for the soldiers with comforts and extra equipment from the day thev put on khaki until they become " sick or wounded.). ~ (After they return to the Dominion the sick and wounded receive assistance from the Patriotic funds, and other funds provide all New Zealand care and succour of New Zealand soldiers from the moment thoy become sick or wounded until they return to the Dominion, and to supplement the New Zealand Army Medical Department.
