WHITE FLAG COMEDY. " REBELS OUT MANOEUVRED. Received 8.25 p.m., Nov. 16th. CAPETOWN, NoV. 15. Major Breedt, with forty-six Brit&town loyalists, had a sharp engagement with Stadter and 260 rebels at Schuitzdrift. The rebel with a white flag asked for an armistice to enable Colonel Maritz to be brought to discuss surrender. Major Breedt agreed, but after the loyalists were recalled Stadler appeared with a white flag and demanded Breedt's surrender, because he was surrendered' by superior numbers. Major Breedt ordered his men to reoccupy their positions and this was accomplished despite an attempt to cut them off. - Meanwhile 50 rebels with, a white flag in the rear were disarmed by a ruse. Major Breedt then suocssfully retired, carrying off his transport, after inflicting severe losses. Small parties of rebels have been captured on the Cape-Transvaal borders.. ■
