SUPERANNUATION BOARD.
QUARTERLY MEETING. Per Presa Association. WELLINGTON, Nov. 13. The quarterly meeting of the Public Service Superannuation Boai-d was held at Wellington on Friday last, there being present—Messrs Blow (chairman), Alport, Bishop, Combs, Ellisoix, Flanaghan, Hiiggins, and Macdonaid. It was resolved to forfeit the retiring allowance of a contributor, retired as medically unfit, who had recovei-ed his health and failed to accept suitable re- j employment. Retiring allowances were granted to | fourteen contributors l'etired by l-eason of age or length of service, representing an annual expenditure of £I6OB 3s. Two contributors were granted allowances on retirement as medically un-, fit, totalling £65 15s per annum. , Eight widows and sixteen children were granted statutory allowances ag- j gx-egating £352 per annum. j The amount of compensation accrued ' to officex-s retired amounts to £3103 Ws id, i One application for retiring allowance on account of medical xxnfitness was refused the contributor having declined to. accept the emp'oyment which the "Board considered suitable for him.
