THE SHEEP CHAMPIONSHIPS. (Per Press Association.) CHRISTCHDR.CH, Nov. 12. The Canterbury Agricultural and Pastoral Association's Metropolitan Show was opened to-day in fine wtather. There is a good display of stock. In Corriedale sheep .the New Zealand and Australian Land Company (Moeraki estate) obtained the champion award. Mr John Stringfellow was also successful in this section. In Border Leicesters Mr James Boss secured the champion award for ram, the reserve champion being awarded to John Douglas's Trustees. In Lineolns the champion ram and -ewe were those exhibited by the Moeraki estate, the reserve champion being shown by Mr A. E. WithelL The Moeraki estate secured reserve champion for ewe. In Romney M'rches the champion ram was that of Mr Donald Grant (Timaru), who also secured reserve champion. -The champion ewe was that shofTi by Mr S. Andr&w. In Shrooshires, Mr Leonard White was awarded champion for his ram, rnd also^,reserve champion. The champion ewe was that jJiowti "by Mr Jamps Johns, Mr Leonard White being awarded re.'-eTe champion. 1 In half-bred sheen Mr Leonard White secured tl"» clvmoion for ram. and Sir George Clifford the champion; for ewe.
