Henry Dowries was, charged with driving a motor car in Stafford street, plying for h.re, without being in possession of a driver's .iconsa. Defendant failed to appear and was fined 5s and costs. Wiliinrn Halkett, for driving .a carriage without a license was fined 5s and costs. . William Wedlake on a similar charge was also fined 5s and costs. STREET PUGILIST. Albert Cain was charged with using threatening behaviour in a public jilace. Defendant failed to appear. Constable Thomson stated that on October 2 he saw defendant with his coat off engaged in a street -fight at the corner of Sophia and Church streets. The Magistrate imposed a fine of 10.5 and costs.
