Kerr at Totara Vaaey at 7 p.m., and at Sutheriands at 8.30 p.m. • Mr C. J. Talbot at Scad own School. Mr AY. S. Muslin at Orton School. MR NOSWORTHY AT SHERWOOD DOWNS. . Mr W. No-worthy, M.P., Government candidate for Ashburton, addressed a meeting of eleotom of Sherwood Downs d.«u'.co last oveaing in Mr C. S. Forbes's woolshed, kindly lent for the occasion. Mr Heckler presided. The candidate was very well received by a tliorouighy representative meeting of tlhe constituents in that part of the electoarte. Mr Nosworthy dealt with the principal planks of the Reform Farty, and dwelt at some length with the pledges which had been fulfilled by them since coming into power, aind also with tfho policy enunciated by Mr Mar,sey. During the course of his speech, Mr Nosworthy declared himself in favour of the Referendum and of the Bible-in-Schools; and regarding NoLicense, in favour of 55 per cent majority on both issues—National Prohibition and Local Option. He made a (strong speech and was frequently applauded., At tSie conclusion a number of questions were asked and every one satisfactorily answered. On tii'o motion of Messrs R. O'Brien and J. Caulder, a, motion of thanks with an expression of opinion that Mr Nosworthy is a fit and proper person to represent them in the House, was carried . without. a single dissentient and-amidst hearty applause. A vote of thanks to the chairman closed a really en'tflnisinStic meeting.
