Colours in p. riot in the millinery section ill's spring:, and as they are true to nature it follows that they look both pretty and effective. The* floral adornments are s mply delightful. Here is one on which copper and champagne predomnate; thero is another in black and wh.te; somewhere else is one in holiotr;:ne: a fourth is devoted to cherry, and'so on. "While the colours are attractive, the goods are still more so, and it is quito evident that th;; :s a store where quality is made a pr.mary consideration. Ladies will find in the showrcom evervthing they can possibly desire, and to see the new gr.ocis is to be possessed of a wish to have them. Th;: dresses and costumes, however, have an uncommonly fine appearance and prom se to be in great demand.
Prcin.nent in the cotton materials used are lioral voles nncl crepes, and piques are a!so likely to bo nsed freely. Of wco'.'en materials, roubaix cords, sar.tovs, and summer tweeds stand out conspicuously and proclaim their -worth in 110 uncertain way. Some of the new buttons it should be. mentioned, are so elaborate as to constitute trimmings in themselves. Crepe chinos. a Freir.h silk material, and s'lk and wool santoys prum so to be extensively used this summer, while in the heaver class of stuff there is n wide choice of l.glit worsteds and fine twoods tor early spring wear. In the cotton goods are seen many pretty flora! voiles and crepes, floral nnons for blouses, and plain and self-coloured crepes, check crepes aiul creponnes. etc.
