A battle is progressing along tho whole line. Tho Allies repulsed night and day counter attacks. Estimates of German losses aro three thousand daily for tho past fortnight. A NEAV ARMY. COME FROM (?) {LONDON, Sept. 17 (p.m.). A ''Daily News" special asserts that a new army, of secret composition, has arrived against tho Germans' right, which is retreating its front on tho Aisne.
