Parke (British Isles') defeated Germot (France) ■ 7 — 3. 6 —l, 6—3. This gives British. Isles four wins (singles) to one loss (doubles), and they meet the winner of the tie Canada v. Australasia, in America at tho end of the month. The "Westminster Gazette*'' states that the selection of the English team does not give hope of a good showing in the next tie against Australasia. Apparently England does not possess any good double, players. GERMANY SENDS A PAIR. BERLIN, July 14. In response to an urgent American cablegram, Froitzheim and Cre'izert will reach Boston on the 24th to je-pre-sent Germany in the Davis Cup ccntests.
