Mr Frank Evans, the popular auctioneer, for Messrs W. and G, Turn■b'rill and Co., of Masterton (formerly with Dalgety and Co., Timaru), was the recipient of an unexpected presentation at the'ram and eAve fair held at the Waipona saleyards this Aveek (says the "Poverty Bay Herald"). Mr A. Cooper, on Avhose account the sale Ayas being held, announced that the first ram offered Avas to bo sold on account of Mr Evans; Mr Coopcjr stated that he had decided on this course to show, his appreciation of the excellent work Mr Evans had done in making the sale a success.
