MINISTERS INTERVIEWED. (Per Press Association.) ..;... WELLINGTON, July 10. A large deputation of delegates from the* Plunkefc. Society conference wa'.ted on the Prime Minister to-day. In replying Mr -Massey * said the Government would ■endeavour to re-lieve-Dr. Truby King from lis duties at Seacliff for a portion of the year to enable* him to devote- more tima to the work of the Plunk et Society. The Prime- Minister promised to consider Jin increased grant to Karitane Hospital. Dunedin, when framing, the., supplementary- estimates. He agreed on the necessity for a pure milk supply. At Auckland the animals at aairies, food, water supply, and dairying utensils were rejrula.i-iy inspected, arid he wished he could say the same for the other centres.. The Hon. 11. H. Rhodes said he was always in favour of controlling the milk supply of towns and cities. The Hon. James Allen said that the women connected with the movement were a, great national asset to the Dominion. The conference resolved to ask the Minister of Education to have a.'.l women inspectors of homes where, children are boarded out,. State-trained at the Karitane, Hospital, the Society to bear the expense; that a central council prepare uniform case notehooks ; that all reports from branches of. the Society be forwarded' to . the nearest district health officer.
