MEETING OF COMMITTEE. A meeting of the committee of th« South Canterbury Jockey Club was held last evening, present Messrs H, Lowrv (in the chair), E. H. Bod, C-. H. Gresson, G S. Gray. A. S. and H. Elworthv, AY. Baxter. Dr Thomas anc C. S Fraser (seexotary). It was Tesiilved that a voting papei be sein to each financial member oj the club, containing tEe names of eacl member standing for election for -tbi committee. . In the matter of the erection of im provements the finance committee re ported that they had tile offer of sufficient funds to complete* oil the inv provements.
