250 MEN ENTOMBED. Press Association —By Tel. —Copyright. WASHINGTON, April 28. An explosion in the New River coal mine at Beckley, West Virginia, entombed 250 men in the 600 feet level. A rescue, crew was promptly organised and rescued two men, seriously injured but was unable to reach the others. The explosion was ®o severe that it was heard miles distant.
