Messrs Guinness and LeCren, advertise particulars in this issue of an unreserved clearing sale of live and dead stock and furniture they are holding at Highfield farm, at Fairview, on Wednesday, Ist April, on account of .Mr A. L. Thoreau, who has sold his farm, and is leaving the district. The horses, cattle and pigs are in first-rate condition, and the furniture is new and up-to-date .The sale starts at one o'clock, and luncheon is provided. Every lot is for absolute sale. By kind permission of Mr Thoreau, outside entries will be received. Messrs Gunness and LeCren wish to draw attention to the public auction of two exceptionally good homes to be sold in their Timaru Land Salerooms on Saturday, 4th April, at 2.30 p.m. The property to be offered on account of Mrs M. J. Aymes is quite new. and exceptionally well finished. There is undoubtedly no better homo offering. Mr Hurdley's property in Chapel Street compises a modern residence of five
large rooms with all conveniences, and is in excellent order, and offers a good opportunity for buyers wishing to secure a sound investment close to town. The auctioneers will be pleased to show intending buyer over the propevtie. The National Mortgage and Agency Co. wish to draw attention to a clearing sale to be held at Claremont tomorrow on account Mr G. Shaw, of sheep, cattle, farm implements, and sundries. The sale will commence at 12.30 sharp. A sale of considerable importance will be held by the N.M. and A. Co. on Friday next, on account Mr Martin Croucher, at Landsdown, Hook. Over 5000 sheep, besides horses, cattle, and implements will be offered, and should attract a. large number of purchasers. A drag will leave the TC.M. and A- Co. office, Waimate, at 10 a.m. for the sale.
