In the Rugby match, England, two goals and two tries, beat Scotland, one goal, a dropped goal and two tries. It was one of the most keenly fought contests on record. TEMUKA CLUB. The annual meeting of the Temuka Rugby Football Club will be held in the Fire Brigade Hall on Thursday evening next. The attendance of all members and intending members is desired. The Pioneer Football Club, Gore, who won the Southland senior competition last season, have consented to play a match against the Temuka Club at Temuka on Easter Saturday. At a meeting of footballers and others interested in the game held in Temuka on Friday night, it was decided to gi've wel'l-wishers an opportunity to assist in meeting the expenses which are not to be a charge on the funds of the Club, and were guaranteed by those present. The Pirates Club will hold their annual meeting in Mr Pateman's rooms, Stafford Street South, on Wednesday next.
