OBITUARY.
MR G. B, NIOHOLLS. Peb PBBBa Association. CHRISTCHtJROH, Oct. 3, Mr (J. B. NichollSj who was injured in a; collision on Papanui road vesterday, died this afternoon. Mr Nichoils was 45' years of age, married, and, leaves, a widow and family. He took up the position of organiser for the Canterbury NcnLioense League about fourteen years ago. Formerly he wail organiser for Newtown, Wellihgt-Hij where No-License was carried. He Went from there to Dunedin as organiser for Otago, and then became organs iser for Dunedin alone. Soon after last election the Canterbury No-License League Secured his services. He was a keen controversialist on the Prohibition side,-a ready speaker, and writer. As a young nian he took a keen interest in sport of all kinds, and Wad a prominent member of the' Wellington Rowing Club and of the Welling, ton Amateur Athletic Club in their palmiest days. The funeral takea place on Sunday afternoon, and repr-s----sentatives of No License rganisatiois fk different parts Of New Zealand will be present.
