THE LAND BOARD.
SOUTH CANTERBURY BUSINESS. A meeting of the Canterbury Land Board was held on Thursday. Present —The Commissioner (Mr C. R. Pollen) .in the chair, and Messrs T. bee, xt. Macau'ay, J. Sealey, and J. Stevenson. Tne Commissioner read the Gazette notice re-appointing Mr R. Macaulay to a seat on the Land Board, and welcomed Mr Macaulay to the position. The following applicatxms for land transfer were appro-red:—L.P. Section 4, Block VI., Ciiamberiain Settlement; Wm. George Chapman to William Hubbard. L.P. Section 44, Block V., Rosewi;ll, John O'Connor to Wm. Geo. Chapman. L.P. Section 5, Block HI., Pareora Settlement, Catherine O'Keefe to Henry J. D. Lunham. L.P. Section 3 r Biqck VLil., Morven Town, N.Z. Farmers' Association as mortgagors of A. McKay to -.M: A. Nolan. OJEuU in., Waitafcf, Geo. Hay Spriggs to Peter J. Wain. E.R. Lot 2, Res. 1210 and 1619, Temuka; Henry N. Green to Henry N. and J. E. Green. S.G.R., Section 1, Takitu Settlement, Elephant Hill, Jas. S. Moir-Byres to John Bench. It was-resolved that the following expenditure of "thirds," as submitted by various local bodies be approved:— £2 6s Id. as submitted by the Temuka Road Board, £52 4s as submitted by the Waimate County Council.
