STOCK SALES.
GERALDINE. There was a good attendance at the Geraldine stock sale yesterday though the entries were not large. The following sales were effected^— Fat sheep—Ewes, 9 at 21s 3d, wethers, 20 at 255, .3 at 22s 6d,. 1 at 20s 6d; half bred wethers, 23 and 22 at 22s Id; 103 at 21s; three-quarter-bred wethers, 26, 27 and 20-at 22s Id, 52 at 21s. Maiden ewes shorn, 9 at 31a 3d, 16 at 16s; ewes in lamb, 23 at 12s 3d; three-quarter-bred wether hoggets, 91 at 17s d 3; do. ewe hoggets, 107 at 21s 7d, 21 at 19s 9d. ' ~ Ewes and lambs, all counted, 83 halfbred at 9s 6d, 7s 6d and 4s 3d, rams 2 at lis. - ■

ADDINGTON. Peb Phebs Association. CEDRISTCHUBjOH, Oct. 1. A-fc the Addington live stock market there were moderate entries of stock. in almost all departments, and a fair attendance. Fat cattle sold at about last week's rates; store sheep were firm and without change; ;fat lambs were easier in consequence of a larger entry; fat sheep opened firm but the market was somewhat, irregtflar; fat pi£s showed a considerable advance in prices, and there was a good sale for store cattle. Store' Sheep.— Two and four-tooth wethers (good) 22s 4d, do. in low condition 16s lOd to 18s 3d, hoggets 15s ■lOd to 16s Id, aged ewes 13s 6d, 6 and 8-tooth ewes wdith"full percentage of lambs 14s od (all counted), 2 and 4rtootbf shorn wethers 14s. Fat Lambs.—Best 19s to 21s 6d, extra to 26s 6d, lighter 16s to 18s 6d.. ' ' . Fat. Sheep.-—Extra prime wethers ton 345, prime 25s to 30s; others 19s 5d to 24s 6d; shorn wethers 18s 9d to, 21s 7d, prime ewes 22s to 28s 6d, others 16s to 21s Id, hoggets-16s lOd to 22s 6d. Fat Cattle.—Steers £8 5s to £l2, extra to £19.105; heifers £7 5s to £9, extra to £l2 15s; cows £6 103 to £8 10s, extra to £l3. . Store Cattle.—Yearlings £1 9s to £1 19s, 15 to 18 months sorts £3 2s 6d to £4 3s, 2-year heifers £4 to £4 2s 6d, cows £1 15s to £6. A line of eight cows, three and four years old, made £6. Dairy cows £3 5s to £9 15s. Pigs.—Choppers and baconers soOd at equal to 6id to 7d per lb, porkers equal to 6id to 7dr>er lb. Store Pigs.—Best 35s to 41s 6d, medium 28s to 345. and small 22s to 275. Small weaners made 14s to 18s, extra good sorts 20s to 275, sows with pigs £6 to £7.
BURNSIDE. , DUNiBDIN, Oct. 1. At Burnside to-day 150 fat cattle Tvere penned, the bulk being prime steers of medium weight and a number of pens of nicely finished heifers. There was a keen demand. Extra heavy but locks £l6 12s 6d. prime £l4 10s to £ls 10s, medium £l2 to £l3 10s, light £9 to £IIJ best heifers £l2 to £l4 10s. medium £9 10s to £ll. light £6 10s to £8 10s. The yarding of fat sheep comprised 2482,'0f which only a small portionwere really prime. The. demand/was good, at values about equal to last week's rates. Extra heavy wethers 30s to 345,. prime 26s 6d to 28s 6d, medium 24s to 24s 6d, light and ior 1-9? 6cß to 23s 6d: prime ewes 24s to 26<r 9d. light to medium 18s 6$ to 235.
There was a small' yarding of fat and store thes, baconers of all' sorbs wer*> in good demand; and met a liighlv.satisfactory srtfe. and pbrkers realised fair prices. Srickers, slir><! j»;nd stores were not in sufficient. .supply to m<»et the demand and all sold at eood prices.
