At Übina, near Coolgardie, an Italian timber-gotter named Moffatti was found wandering in the bush in a demented condition. He elated that he had killed his two companions, a fellowcountryman named Vanni, and a German whoee name is unknown. On a visit to the camp it. was discovered that Vanni c.ivd the German were dead from ternble wounds, apparently inflicted with ail axe. Moffatti was very violent when arrested.
