THE CORONATION.
THE NOONDAY CEREMONY. A meeting of the. Coronation Celebrations Committee appointed to arrange lor tim ceremony to bu hold at noon on Coronation Day was hold iu the Council Chambers last evening, there being present Messrs .1. CraigirMayor) „, the chair, J. Hole, \V. 'nest, .). Ji. Hurdley, and W. G. Irwin. It was decided to have the ccronionv on . the balcony opposite the General Post Oliice. The meeting discussed tho question ot musical arrangements, and it was decided tlmt the secretary should ask tlio various choirs to appoint representatives and that the town bandmasters bo asked to attend a conference with tho committee on Tuesday next at 7.30 p.lll Arrangements for the ceremony to bo conducted by tlio ministers are proceeding satisfactorily. It lias been arranged to have 2500 Coronation bonfires in Britain. Tbo Temuka Borough Council have Riven permission to Mr Vuxton, the Mayor, to .construct .1 Coronation memorial swimming bath in the Park, and placed on record its appreciation of the Mayor's generosity. The Council also voted £25 to the Coronation Committee, and a second £25 for some permanent work. . THE • TERRITORIALS. Lieutenant AndVews has received advice from headquarters, suggesting that all corps should co-operate with the civil authorities in ■connection, with the Coronation- celebrations, ag tl>e limited'strength .of the Forces, so far would make an individual display impossible. ■ ■ 1'
