JThe day was an ideal golting day and most of the matches wore very even and well contested, moro than one being decided on tho eighteenth' green. Twosomes were played in the morning, when Tinviru won five and Otago three matches; and four-ball matchee were, played in tht" afternoon, when Timaru won throo matches, 'the visitors scoring none. Lunch and afternoon tea were provided by tho Ladies' Club, and were very acoptaWe.
