He identified one" accused him of indecent overtures to his girls, marched the nativvo to a vacant piece of. ground behind the office and shot .aim dead. He then surrendered to the police and was. charged with murder. Ho was released on £3OOO bail. Public opinion is entirely 'favourable to his aotion. MURDER AKD SUCIDE. SENSATIONAL CIRCUMSTANCES. ST. PETERSBURG, May 23. A man named Kurtz, a German, married Madam Morosoff, a wealthy wi'dow, in 1909. The pair had many quarrels, and yesterday Kurtz thrice shot his wife with a revolver. The latter, was taken to the hospital. Kurtz barricaded the doors and poured petroleum oyer the furniture and set fire to the house. He harangued f the crowd from the balcor.y and ended by shooting himself in public as the house was enveloped in' flames. LOS ANGELES OUTRAGE. THE LATEST SENSATION. NEW YORK, May 23. A sensation was caused at Las Angelos by the arrest of Bert Connors and John M. Barks, prominent Union men, on a charge of attempting to dynamite a building there last September.
