Tlie weather is holding up splendid, and the pioneers, as a whole, are enjoying excellent health. . This evening they "were entertained at a social gathering, the Hon. It. Mr-Ketizio being present. To-day a cablegram of greeting was received from ,Sir Joseph Ward. The celebrations are to be "continued to-morrow, the programme comprising also the Empire Day celebrations, with a sports gathering and a complimentary dinner and ooncert in the evening. >
